KONE, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, has been identified as a world leader for its actions and strategies in response to climate change. The company has been ranked on the Climate A List by CDP, the international not-for-profit organization that drives sustainable economies.2016 marks the second year KONE has earned a place on the A
List, this year as one of the only 193 companies from thousands of
others independently assessed against CDP's scoring methods. The
company's score has risen for seven consecutive years.
The Climate A List comprises companies from around the world that
have been identified as leaders in their efforts and actions to
combat climate change, during the past CDP reporting year. The
Climate A List constitutes the baseline for corporate climate
action and includes companies identified as leaders in the
transition towards a low-carbon economy.

reporting for the second consecutive year. We aim to be the leaders
in sustainability in our industry and this achievement truly
reflects our commitment to continuously improve environmental

CDP is an international, not-for-profit organization providing the
only global system for companies and cities to measure, disclose,
manage and share vital environmental information. CDP works with
market forces, including 827 institutional investors with assets of
USD 100 trillion, to motivate companies to disclose their impacts
on the environment and natural resources and take action to reduce
them.
