KONE Materials Handling outsources production and marketing of hydraulic cylinders and tipping hydraulics to Hydrauto

KONE Materials Handling is outsourcing production and marketing of hydraulic cylinders and tipping hydraulics to Sweden’s Hydrauto Group. The annual sales of the business total EUR 28 million.

Hydraulic cylinders and tipping hydraulics are manufactured in the Nummi Oy Ab plant in Perniö, Finland and the Nummi Cylinders AB plant in Ljungby, Sweden, which are part of the KONE Materials Handling division. The units employ approximately 270 people.

KONE Materials Handling has for some time, in addition to its own production, sourced hydraulic cylinders from Hydrauto and other suppliers. Through the outsourcing agreement, KONE Materials Handling’s cylinder purchases will be concentrated with Hydrauto and its range of cylinders will be developed and standardized in cooperation with this leading European supplier.
