Stay on Corporate siteKONE received a major order from City Creek Reserve, Inc., who is in partnership with Taubman Centers Inc., to supply and install KONE MonoSpace® machine-room-less elevators and KONE ECO3000® escalators in the City Creek Center in Salt Lake City, USA. The order was included in KONE's second quarter order book.
The City Creek Center is an integral part of the revitalization of Salt Lake City, with the goal of developing a vibrant and attractive downtown area. It will become a walkable urban community consisting of residences, offices and retail stores that span across three blocks.

Installation of the KONE solutions is expected to begin in 2010 with the opening of the City Creek Center in 2012. The project’s general contractor is Jacobsen Construction Company Inc.
The City Creek Center is one of 60 pilot projects in the United States selected to participate in a focus group that is helping the U.S. Green Building Council finalize its new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification process for Neighborhood Development.
