Negotiations begin regarding transfer of production of Jonsered forest and loader cranes from Hudiksvall, Sweden to Salo, Finland

Jonsered Cranes AB is initiating personnel negotiations regarding a planned transfer of production of Jonsered forest and loader cranes from Jonsered Cranes AB in Hudiksvall, Sweden to Loglift Oy in Salo, Finland.

Both companies are part of the KONE Materials Handling division within KONE.

Loglift already produces a major share of the components that are assembled to cranes in the Hudiksvall plant. Capacity utilization and competitiveness will improve by concentrating assembly at Salo. Also design, administration and marketing are planned to be transferred to Salo.

Jonsered Cranes AB has 54 employees, of which 23 are workers and 31 are office employees.

The sales company Loglift Jonsered AB, which is also located in Hudiksvall, will continue marketing both Jonsered and Loglift products in Sweden.

Jonsered and Loglift are the leading producers of cranes for handing timber and waste in Europe. The aim is to continue managing and developing Jonsered and Loglift as separate brands.
